About
2017 Marks a renewal for myself and my work. After 10yrs freelancing as a media maker, in 2015 I was appointed Tribal Secretary for the Pueblo of Acoma. I served my tribal community in this role for 2 yrs. During which time I took a hiatus from the media world to concentrate on my community. I came away from this job with new skills and a new found sense of purpose. Our community is often referred to as one of the oldest continuously inhabited villages in the western hemisphere. You can imagine the tact and care maneuvering through a position like this calls for. I created press releases, wrote talking points and statements, organized media production, oversaw the coordination of visited by dignitaries including the Sectary of State Jewell and the Sectary of the EPA Gina McCarthy. I have also worked closely with film location scouts and film crews under the office of Secretary.
You can find me best suited for event photography and documentary work. I thrive in 1 man band type situations. I have shot numerous conferences for overnight and same day turnaround. I have traveled around the country and the world as a documentary videographer/photographer and professional sound person. I work well in super stressful situations. I'm not just saying that. I've been a Master Control Operator for 2 TV Stations at once, and have run the board during live news broadcast. That my friends is nuts. If you didnt know.
